Rare 3'6" diameter 36 specimen woods from the west Indies. Probably made by Ralph Turnbull in Jamaica, but not signed. Dating from the 1820's, the only comparable example is in the Lady Leverhulme museum in Port Sunlight, Liverpool. It would make a splendid centre table. The base feet are satin wood, the base platform is alder wood.
